Adobe Acrobat forms don't support math or database access. But they do support the Web, the software is universal, and the form filler software is FREE. Data can be saved separate from the forms in an FDF file, and there is a Software Developer's Kit (SDK) for working with Adobe Acrobat, in general, and FDF, as a subset. Adobe's Web Site IRS and other forms examples using Adobe Acrobat forms:
