After graduating from law school, I began work with one of the last great generalists, and became exposed to an extraordinary range of practice experiences:
  • Tried jury trials and "second seated" federal jury trials of securities cases

I became fascinated with what computers could do in 1979, and left full time law practice in 1980. I am self-taught, and have real, hands-on experience in using, programming, documenting, and teaching just about every computer application in the law.

  • Attended seminars on direct marketing and have worked on wide variety of projects to market to lawyers. Member of NALV, and deep knowledge of public relations, direct marketing to lawyers, and legal trade shows.
  • Successfully developed, documented, tested, shipped, and supported a number of software packages for law firm network use (Windows 95/NT/3.x, DOS, Novell)
  • 20 years experience in all aspects of running a small business, including delivery of products and services, setting up and running accounting systems, hiring and human relations, management, leadership, etc.
  • Co-chair of ABA committee on application of leadership principles to law practice. Working with the experts, we studied Senge, Covey, Bennis, and Campbell.
